Affordable Skiing Tips in Vancouver!

WELCOMING THE NEW YEAR 2018! +

2017 left a good trail of snow on the mountains, so skiing is first in the menu for many travellers.

Grouse, Cypress and Seymour Mountains started operations early November, and so did Whistler Blackcomb. We are proud to show that all of our apartments are so close to the local ski resorts for your enjoyment.

Tip#1

Ski in the late afternoon and you save $$ (after 4:30PM). You will still have many hours ahead of excellent skiing, as all of these local mountains close late night; they have excellent illumination through the whole night.

Tip#2

One of the many advantages of living on the NorthShore is the handy proximity to highway 99, which takes you straight to Squamish and Whistler. Drive just 30 minutes to Squamish, and additional 30 minutes to Whistler. So convenient! You can go for the day and be back by night! This is a great option that saves you a lot of money, instead of staying in a costly resort around Whistler.

Tip#3

Snowshoeing in Cypress is free, and is another excellent way to enjoy the snow. The workout is unbelievable! You save, as an alternative to skiing every day.

Tip#4

Rent one of our apartments, Ski in the local mountains, for most of your stay, and go to Whistler Blackcomb only for a few times, or at least once. This will allow you to be on budget. Rent one of our apartments: Edgemont Village Suite, Lonsdale Quay Condo, ChesterFifth Condo close to the Seabus, or Capilano River Condo close to Lionsgate Bridge. Please check the availability calendar and contact us now!

Tip#5

Take transit as much as possible. The cost is always cheaper than driving and parking. Believe it, parking can be very costly in downtown, and very restricted, with short parking time in all Vancouver.

There is so much more to do, without spending too much. Check out our next blog for more ideas of how to enjoy the time in Vancouver.
